About Paws In Charge
Paws In Charge was created to provide a place focused on exceptional, high quality products for dogs and cats as well as an incredible shopping experience for discerning dog and cat lovers. We don't exist to sell you products, but to rather share what we have learned to assist you in making informed decisions in the long-term care of your pets.
If you are anything like we are, you view your pets as family members. We recognize how lucky we are to have them in our lives and we want to provide the best we can for them.
Maui - 2019
Cali - 2025
Maui came into our lives in 2019, at 5 months old, after being found behind a dumpster. Despite everything she experienced alone and in the cold, upon entering our home, she immediately filled the space with love and warmth. We wanted to provide her with the best life we possibly could.
I recall purchasing so many foods and treats that I thought were great for her as I saw so many commercials telling me how great they were. Over time, curiosity got the best of me and I began looking into the ingredients that were included in these "great" foods. I quickly found that I was not providing high-quality foods to Maui and started to research foods that would truly accomplish what I wanted. Once I began to find what I wanted, I realized how challenging it was to find these things all in one place while readily having help on hand to answer any questions I had. From there, Paws In Charge was born!
Cali joined our family in 2025 during an adoption event at Paws In Charge! He was found after being discarded with several other dogs in the Bakersfield heat. We fell in love the moment we laid eyes on the handsome fella! Today, Maui and Cali are our food and treat testers! If they don't like something or it doesn't fit their nutritional needs, it won't be found in Paws In Charge.
Our primary goal is to make it as easy as possible to find the right products for your pets and for you to have a great time while doing it!
